HAHNDORF

The brief was to effect a complete renovation of a 1980s property in the Adelaide Hills. The client is a very busy professional with little time available for planning or overseeing design or renovation projects.

The property was structurally sound but lacking any architectural interests other than a wonderful staircase which was overwhelmed by inappropriate Victorian style decorative detail. The property also required total renovation of 2 bathrooms and the kitchen and new flooring throughout to replace an awkward mix of ceramic tiles and carpet.

We were inspired by the beautiful rural setting of the house and suggested that a clean, slightly Scandinavian aesthetic would be successful in an area populated equally by large European trees and the Australian bush.

Our busy client gave us a great deal of autonomy and the project was a great success.

We have since completed the extensive redecoration and styling of 3 additional commercial properties for this busy client, including the commission of bespoke furniture and art.
